About Pediatric Readiness
Oregon ENA began supporting the Pediatric Readiness Program in July 2021 after membership brought forward a resolution to the state general assembly. OENA supports emergency departments by providing the knowledge, skills, expertise, and leadership for its members as they deal with their individual pediatric encounters.
Pediatric education is available at NO COST for your emergency care team- RN, RT, EMS, CNA/Techs, and students are welcome to develop their pediatric knowledge and skills in a supportive and friendly learning environment. We provide didactic and hands on skills training tailored to your specific needs.
ENA promotes improving our practice environment by establishing and disseminating standards for emergency nurses. In addition, to advocate for emergency departments to have the necessary resources and supplies for high quality care. ENA is the primary source of evidence-based emergency nursing resources.
The National Pediatric Readiness Project is endorsed by National ENA, American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC).
